Brothers of the Snake - Dan Abnett

What it's about: an elite force who protects its surrounding planets
Whose point of view is the story told from? It's written in 3rd person, so it's as if they're a writer with the main character at all times
Distinct mood or tone: Orks (green skins) and primuls (dark elder)
Other major characters: Petrok (a massive giant that every brother looks up to), and fellow brothers

It's really hard for me to review this because I want to describe everything, but that would wreck the book for you so this is my review, hope you like it.

When I read through the first couple of chapters, it described Praid, who is the main character. He is a giant cyborg with armour like a tank. He's a member of the elite Iron Snakes. These soldiers, who serve the Emporer, are genetically modified, even before birth. They are super humans and they're twice as big as any average human. They have been tortuously modified to fight (if they survive the process). They are modified to live hundreds of years, modified to live weeks without eating, and most of all, modified and sworn to protect their surrounding planets...no matter what the enemy.

The books describe the battles of Praid and the Iron Snakes, who fight with such honour and courage. The reader will be awestruck by their loyalty and bravery. The twists and turns are a a great add-on too. It all fits together perfectly at the end, a couple of parts I was a bit confused about but it's truly awesome when you figure it out so stick with the book until you finish it.

I hope my review helped make the choice to read this book and open up the Warhammer series.
